the only thing that has prevented the Proteas from winning a world cup is that they are reactive in the field. If they were pro-active then they would wipe the floor off all. They never deviate from their initial plans. Why i dont know.

I totally agree with you re reactive...... Prime example, McCullum took over NZ and almost invented different fielding positions.... He was super succesful and also created a highly entertaining brand of cricket that not only NZ fans enjoy but cricketing fans around the world... It seems to have rubbed off onto Williamson, and the trend has continued....

I'm not going to harp on this any longer after this, BUT, for the life of me I don't understand the selectors..... They have staff personal who are hired (and paid a substantial salary), to gain every piece of stats available.... Wtf are they there for??? I am by no means a statistition, but you seriously do not need to be.... 1 spinner in India.... Give me a farkin break..... What stat shows that seemers are superior or even close to spinners???? Once again, NZ did not play their 2 best seemers and played 3 spinners (every commentator was left speechless when they heard the team news), look what happened... Undefeated against India and Aus.... Now clearly their statistitions are been paid to do a job and the selectors value their input...... Anyway I won't harp on anymore about it....

SA cricket has not changed since the 1992 world cup. They took Omar Henry to the world cup but he played only one match. They kept the same 11 for every other game no matter the condition of the pitch. In the semi final they played with 5 quicks and left him out. I mean the SCG and you dont play your spinner you only looking to fail.

My honest honest honest opinion, the selectors Farked up by picking Phangiso....we as a country don't use our spinners to dry up runs in this format.... Tahir is a wicket tacker (and a very good one).... Eddie Leie should be in India and playing every game.... Another leg spinner that turns the ball both ways and is a wicket taker.... Pangiso is not a wicket taker.... How many tournament has he been to and not played.... Quota or no quota that can't be an excuse in this instance as leie falls into the system, and actually deserves to be there on merit........ In saying that, I would still be playing Pangiso as we need more than 1 spin option.... I would not be suprised if the useless Berhardien gets called up if Duminy is out with his hammie..... O shit, I said I would stop waffling on......
