England pulled the same shit against the Windies – obviously dissing the Windies they decided to experiment – 1 bowler, 3 wicketkeepers, 4 all-rounders and 3 “specialist” batsmen.
If the Windies didn’t declare they would still be batting.

Another prima performance of choking by the Titans today - needing 30 odd runs with 5 overs left and only 3 wickets down, they were all out 20 runs later

Observations:
1. Why do we have 5 day tests starting on Wednesday and Thursday.People work for a living and there fore by starting on Friday, the first three days should attract the bigger attendances, particularly as these days you rarely get a days cricket,or full days cricket on a 5th day? Kingsmead was empty and St.Georges won't be much different.
2.Vernon Philander-Great bowler,when he is fit?
3.World Cup-I am surprised that the commentators are still saying that SA is trying out options fot the World Cup.
WC is less than 3 months away.Surely our team is known by now?
4.Amla,Elgar,Markram,Du Plessis are,at the moment not reliable enough to score runs.
5.Finally,what happened to Kepler.Has he called it a day?

Always beat my dad to the Daily News read that paper end to end from the '70s starting obviously with the sport section
boxing, cricket and racing were favourites and the tests then were something else
Aussie speedsters were really good and just reading the West Indian scorecard gave me goosebumps...that was cricket boys and then think it was Packer that revved the game to odis ..,addictive stuff with the Waugh bros and the Pakistan pair of Akthar and Wasim too many to mention
those were heady days in all those sports mentioned
never picked up a newspaper in probably 10 years until today and read about tClairwood Logistic Park thats were the old course was and they in poo with enviromentalists and the court decision has been appealed
Apparently they got it in for GC for getting the sale sans approval
and the only Keppler i know was your dour captain that never injected any urgency to his batting

He was never captain of Australia, only SA.
So when did you immigrate to SA as you state that he was your dour captain.?

Yes awful to watch although when SA played WI in Barbados and SA needed 200 to win they were 123/2 with him batting and SA looked good for the win but then he was removed and SA were all out for 148. That was one of the greatest cricket matches i have seen.
