Teams go through cycles and the last 10 years seem to have been South Africa's rebuilding cycle...most of our best SA born players are plying their trades for other countries but that was going to happen as soon as we fully adopted the transformation requirements to the national team...sadly, I do not see us being a top 2 team (as we once were in Tests and ODI's even though Champions Trophy and Commonwealth Games were only major trophies won) once again...I'll take comfort in having seen those days when players earned their places and performed as there was a pool that could step in if they didn't perform...now some people have places until they decide to retire as they are protected species...

It was a good knock but at one stage SA were trying to buy his wicket when they had everybody one the fence and Shamsi was dishing up total rubbish in the arc. I thought that he was gifted 50 runs.

IPL this week some players to watch are Sam Curran, Steve Smith K Rahul, Ishan Pant, K Rabada who takes at least one wicket in every IPL match that he has played in, Dhoni and off course the brilliant Chris Gayle.
