Amla batted very well today... The problem he will encounter in India (and has previously), is that he scored tons of runs on quick bouncy wickets (in the shorter forms of the game) he battles to hit through the line on slower lower wickets...He also has the least amount of Ipl experience.... For me, its a no brainer... De Kock and De Villiers open.... They both brilliant players of pace and spin, so it doesn't matter what tactics the opposition use....

This World Cup will be won by India. At home pitches doctored etc. All the other teams are fighting for the other spot in the final. I can already see India lifting the cup and all the razzmatazz that go along with it.

After I read this I agree with you counting down the days to the cup.

A man gets home expecting to read dozens of posts on the sports thread but their is sweet FA, only a single football post from poor Chris recovering from exiting the FA Cup yet again.

And those that made the decision didn't play any cricket much beyond school level...if at all...

...there was talk of them bringing in a coach from the Cape before they went the Klusener route...maybe that's who will come in now...
Its actually ridiculous... Who could they possibly bring in that would do a better job than Klusener??? Have they overlooked the fact that the Protea's just used him as an mentor? Surely he must be doing something right......

Cricket South Africa officials have condemned left arm spinner, Aaron Phangiso's graphic imitation of snorting a line of cocaine at the Wanderers Stadium.
Silly boy, his career may take a down turn for this and although he was only imitating the action it does not go down well especially with millions of kids watching.

Extremely silly didn't he a while back cause a commotion on a flight back to rsa after playing a series . Was piss drunk on a flight and was asked to leave the plane . He need to go to rehab to sort this shit out before it messes up his game and career.

And Phangiso is already 32 so career is in its autumn...not unlike Gibbs but he was in his early to mid 20's when he got involved in all sorts of nonsense...
