Don't think when he made that comment Mr Doyle realised that United would be back a year later and it would take roughly 35 years before City actually managed to do the double over United. Or that by the end of the century City would be in Division 3 and, albeit only for one season, their so called Manchester is Blue ever so loyal supporters would allow their average attendance to dip below 20,000? Sometimes it is better to stay quiet rather than speak potentially rash words and have them come back to haunt you...

And on that note, I shall, with (or without lol) your kind permission, leave the "debate" as there are plenty other threads where clanners can talk their "whatevers" about United

PS I have a few mates who are Rrrrrrrr's supporters and quite a few of them hate the Premiership. They won't be so sad to go back down again.
