The surprise element is gone, but I think that they have more than enough to stay up so long as they hang onto their two strikers.

Ja, they shouldn't go down, but they are going to battle... As soon as Deeney and Igahlo have failed to score they have been nowhere...

They have signed an attacking winger from Malaga so he should bring them a few goals. Watford is a great family club and I hope that they stay up

Southampton are getting it together at last and are now on a run. They have now down to two players on the injury list i.e Gardos??? and Ramirez.
No disrespect but neither are regular 1st team players.
Pelle,Long,Rodriguez and now Austin are all available along with Fraser Foster.
They are now also getting clean sheets ,which is complement to their defence.
They beat Celsea at the Bridge 3-1,Arsenal recently 4-0 and now United 1-0.
I neach case Mourinho,Wenger and Van Gaal said their sides played poorly which is a bit disrespectful to Southampton.
Koeman would have really enjoyed putting one over Van Gaal as there is a lot of history between those two.
Koeman has clearly refuted any Chelsea speculation as his current contract takes him to the end of next year season, when he will review his situation and not until then.
The 4M paid for Austin means nothing as he only has a few months on his contract.I understand that he is on very good wages and at 26 years old a number of PL sides were after him.
Next match Arsenal away.
.......go marching in,oh when the saints...............

No surprise that the United fans booed the team off at half time and full time.

oh come on if you saw the Southampton v Arsenal match you could see how crap Arsenal were. Its easy to play well against Man United and against Chelsea a team that no longer wanted their manager. Arsenal will pump you at the Emirates in that mid week gae coming up. PS you were extremely quiet whilst your team were losing week after week.

It is easy to say Arsenal etc were crap but sometimes teams are only as good as they are allowed to be.
Alittle bit of acknowledgement doesn't go astray.
As regards next week one has to consider that a number of their team came from Southampton so if we get beat the pill is not that bad to swallow.
When your losing best to say nothing.

No must admit that Southampton really played well that evening. They seem to have the wood over Arsenal at St Marys. I remember i went to a Southampton v Arsenal match the The Dell when Grobelaar was in goal for the Saints. The match came just after the Sun accused him of match fixing. All the Arsenal fans were waving £10 notes at him. Southampton won 1-0 that day and Grobelaar played a blinder.
