That other new signing at United from Dortmund, Mkiteryn or something like that is also flipping good. Their new centre back likes to ground which will cost them and I don't think that Ibramovic will last the extreme pace week in and week out. He is a super player but is nearly 35. Should be a very interesting season

Right back Fosu- Mensah is another and I can see him playing international football for a long time. I was really impressed by him last season in the games that he played for United. I will go as far as to say that he will become the best right back that United have had

Stones is a Pep type player like Pique. No wonder he did not want to go to Chelsea where all you do as a defender is kick the ball into row Z

Got to agree with you on this. Pique at barca, Boateng at bayern. I think it will do wonders for his career, hopefully he can fullfill his promised talent.

Xhaka new Arsenal signing reminds me of Petit. Looks strong and won't take any crap is what we need. Elneny will also have a big season so our midfield defence and attack are sorted we have a great keeper, right back and centre back. Ozil and Alexis would get into any team in the world but that's that. Wenger just can't seem to get the team right. Over the past 10 years we have always been 2/3 players short. That team that went the entire league season unbeaten were just about the perfect team

Mauricio Pochettino has branded big-spending Premier League rivals “desperate” after insisting Tottenham’s squad is strong enough to win the title.

Tottenham have spent just £11m for midfielder Victor Wanyama and £17m for striker Vincent Janssen while Manchester United have spent £145m and Manchester City £140m.

Spurs boss Pochettino said: “I am not worried about that. It shows when you spend a lot of money you are not happy with your squad or your players and you are desperate to improve your squad.

“I am very happy with my players and I think it is very difficult to find players better than we have.

He has a point

Tbf, he has a very good young squad which has got depth aswell. They did show great team spirit last year, and as a coach, im sure he doesnt want to lose that by signing a marqee player who could disrupt what he has built up.

the only thing that may stop them from winning the title will be competing in the champions league and although they played in the Europa league last season they generally played a reserve side whereas in the champions league he will have to play his strongest team. They now have two excellent defensive midfielders (so have Arsenal). The one side that i think could surprise many are Middlesbourgh. They have made some very good signings and their manager is no mug. They will definitely stay up as will Burnley imo.

i think that Leicester are going to hammer Hull on Saturday (thats why i have Mahrez and Vardy) and Sunderland have always done very well against Man City. That could be a draw.

the other matches on Saturday are very hard to call
