The other three 'trials' were part of a very clever marketing ploy by kit sponsors Puma (Dortmund, the Stromsgodset and Mamelodi Sundowns all carry the logo on their jerseys) and got serious attention.

Can't see a link between this Aussie side (kit sponsors seem to be Umbro) but maybe worth taking with a pinch of salt as another marketing tactic to try and hype up a new season (starts Oct 19)?

Side he's trialling with were bottom of the log, won four of 27 games all season so may need all the help they can get at this stage :silly:

Maybe the A-League sprung for the legend to make an appearance to try and drum up some headlines and the bottom of the log angle fitted the narrative?
