Got the win so that is what matters for now...weather was terrible...agree with @Craig Eudey...the last I saw a rugby match with those conditions was the 1995 RWC semi-final with France...
There will be other opportunities to pick up bonus points...
Aus were impressive and had NZ on back foot for much of the match but couldn't put them away...

Off to Bloem tomorrow for our number 1 and 2 schools, in SA, rugby challenge. Last game of our school season where, for the time in history, the game will determine who ends up on top of the log. Grey Bloem vs Paul Roos Should be a cracker !

Lots of tries today...great attacking or poor defence ?? Seem to be a lot of mistakes in the match...
Seems like Aus did what I hoped they would...stopped to winning sequence and now getting thumped !!!

I really think that Aus would have given NZ a closer match if they had another week for the match...difficult to put in two massive efforts against NZ with only a week in between...
They really outplayed NZ for large parts last week and the wet weather helped neutralise some of NZ's attacking ability...
The weather in England may be the great leveller for the World Cup next year and will certainly benefit England and Wales...and both of these teams did well against NZ and SA respectively in less favourable conditions on recent tours...watch them closely...

Re: Rugby Championships
10 years 9 months agoI think my second team(Wales) have shot their bolt - the young team that looked so good a few years ago did not go on with it - I think Phillips and Jones are nearing the end of their trots - SA for me have a chance but will need luck Australia will click sooner than later and NZ are obvious. I think the quick ball NZ get will baffle many teams and I do hope we do that too - Either way what a great Tourney to look forward to - I can't wait to see Samoa and the ugly Italian team in action - My fiance already knows that though the Soccer WC past her by without much disarray due to the late starts, the RWC will be a complete Remote Control Moth for me.TNaicker wrote: I really think that Aus would have given NZ a closer match if they had another week for the match...difficult to put in two massive efforts against NZ with only a week in between...

Eish...what is going on...the two WP centers cannot push the Argentina fullback into touch and he scores in the corner...
Attacks win plaudits...defences win World Cups...and just like the game earlier today, defences seem to be porous...

My predicting hasn't been great recently but this weekend I'm gonna turn it around
Bulls to annihilate the EP Queens
SA to shock all the clanners bar one and beat the All Blacks :woohoo:
Lions to end WP winning streak and bring them back down to earth with a bang
