The Lions to win the cup. They had a decent Super Rugby run, will not lose too many players to the World Cup squad, have depth, strong up front and dangerous backs.Ackermann and and his coaching team have a happy and commited squad.

Griquas where very disappointing last night and appear to be very weak defensively
Pumas -10.5 against the Sharks looks a fair bet as they are no pushovers
Cheetahs and Bulls at 9/10 the pair, will slightly favour Cheetahs as Bulls are not great travelers
Lions -18.5 looks the best bet, the Kings will get the wooden spoon this year and if Lions have any chance of winning currie cup this year must win this one by 30 or more
Some great games

Craig, I would take the Pumas giving the Sharks an 8 point head start. ;)

As a life long Sharks supporter I'm really gatvol. Pish poor. And no excuses Craig squared... About books being away. The Pumas may have continuity, but they also had a desire. No flipping desire in our overpaid, Molly coddled , useless outfit, with some of the best resources at their disposal. It was pathetic, useless, useless.. The cupboard will be bare for a while.

Firstly Pumas +10.5 on handicap :silly:
As for the Sharks you ask yourself what has gone wrong? The players are there bar a few bad eggs and its well documented who they where, I see a turnaround this year and Sharks will be celebrating another currie cup this season. :woohoo:

Some great games this week
Lions -12.5 against the Pumas, will go for Pumas on handicap, really are playing good rugby and could be the upset of the round
Bulls -22.5 against Griquas, Bulls to beat handicap against a poor Griquas side
Province -16.5 against Cheetahs, surely Cheetahs can't be as bad as last week and will beat the handicap against a overrated Province team
Sharks -24.5 against the Kings, Sharks will win easily against a very weak side but im not convinced by as much as 25 will be staying out of this one

I have a soft spot for Eastern Province. Saw them play at Boet Erasmus many moons ago when Gavin Cowley was fly half

Bulls +1.5 against the WP - Always difficult to back against Bulls at Loftus and WP have not looked impressive at all so far so Bulls for me
Griquas + 6.5 against the Cheetahs - think this is gonna be the upset of the day Griquas on the handicap for me
Kings + 8.5 against the Pumas - Pumas will win comfortably
Sharks + 4.5 against the Lions - Lions are looking the real deal and im afraid its gonna be a Lions victory

Craig, WP vs Bulls high scoring game. WP will run them off their feet on a dry pitch.
Cheetahs vs Griquas close game and can go either way. (on last Sat performance Cheetahs)
Pumas vs Kings. Pumas should win but I cant see it being a run away victory, the Kings have shown some nice passages of play all be it a bit erratic and not for 80 min.
Sharks vs Lions, now here I feel it will be a run away victory for the Lions.

Not a Sharks Fan, but I think this is where the upset is going to come and they going to win this one...
