Perhaps I did not frame my question properly. My question was regarding the fallout if the current coach were to be more unsuccessful than he already is. Your friendship with Dick Muir aside. As for a ‘family affair’, that is what is is. Show me another side where the coach coaches three family members in one side. I said the team is underperforming. For what it is on paper. For a while. Consider that we just brought the brother from the stormers. Would he have come if Robert snr was not the coach. Would we have brought in all boeties if he wasn’t. Nowhere did I judge them on their ‘merit’. I simply pointed out, or was trying to, that we made much invested in what is now ‘a family affair’. And in my experience, family affairs can be more turbulent than most.

Waratahs one of the form sides – facing 4th nz opposition in a row – 2 close losses and gave highlanders an expected hiding last week- Tahs +4.5 (18/10)

Fancy the Reds to do something special today- Reds +4.5 (19/10) and for a quarter of my usual stake -4.5 (5/1)

Sharks have simply not performed under this coach relative to all the ‘names’ in this side.

With all due respect... Please don't label it as a "family affair".... Jean luc has proved himself time and time again. Dan, has the qualities, just needs to step up one notch more, and Robert is the highest points scorer in the whole comp.... Really had nothing to do with "family".... Dick Muir (know him personally), would not be there if such was the case.... Sharks are trying to adopt a new brand of rugny which looks amazing when it comes off, but only time will perfect it... Ackerman took 2 seasons to sort it out at the lions... We are on an upward spiral. Watch this space....

Bulls fell apart against an International side last week - Brumbies are from the opposite spectrum and Pollard back at 10 - Bulls -16.5 (2/1)

Lions will humiliate the stormers - Lions -17.5 (4/1)

not a mention of the Sharks, or do you now also support the Bulls like the fairweather fan aka Louis

So what actually happened to the bulls? Lost again :)

Lions are winning on guts atm ....wrong decision to start with Kwagga and Schoeman - anyway they got home with the aid of the Stormers unable to play to the rules B)

And that Springbok squad - did anyone miss out - apart from the obvious Ross Cronje - how can you pick the guy from the Sharks and the two Bulls - and not Cronje  And I have not really checked, but it seems to me that the side leading the SA conference comfortably, has the least number of players on the squad
