Super 15

All kicks of next week, really looking forward to it although I imagine the NZ sides will be resting AB players each week from May. NZ sides look so strong that it wont make a difference to them. I think that the SA teams will fair better than the Aussie teams bar the Warratahs who have been on the up over the past two seasons.

My pick would be the Chiefs in NZ, the Lions in SA and the Warratahs in Australia to do the best.

Early predictions to let it sink into Craigs head

Chiefs v Highlanders

Chiefs to kick off the season with a stunning win, they usually start well.

Brumbies v Rebels

Difficult to call this one as Rebels are improving so going with a Rebels win

Blues v Crusaders

Blues to shock the Saders

Tahs v Canes

Tahs just

Sunwolves v Sharks

Sunwolves to win in a canter

Bulls v Stormers

No prediction

Jaguares v Lions

Very close with the Lions just taking it.

Best bets for me
Blues +7.5 vs Crusaders - Crusaders always start slowly
Waratahs + 7.5 vs Hurricanes - Waratahs will start strong at home
Sunwolves +10.5 vs Sharks - Sharks very seldom win by more than 7
Jaguares +3.5 vs Lions - Jaguares have really impressed and are my outside tip to win the SA Conference

In all the time of doing Superbru I have learnt that early on in the season the smaller teams get better results than expected and then as the season wears on the bigger teams ( Crusaders especially) come through strongly due to their depth of players.

A choice game now? From Chiefs-6 at 9/10, I can now get the -6 at 2/1 - what a pleasure - go Chiefs

Rebels now have a certain yellow card starting at 10 - BBies -11 at 22/10 in a high scoring game

Kudos to the Highlanders who kept at it and got their just rewards. First prediction of the season tits up does not bode well for the months to come

First two rounds not easy to predict as you are basically betting blind until you have seen the teams in action.

Blues to beat Crusaders (51/20)

Waratahs to beat Hurricanes (5/2)

Sharks to win SA conference – should beat Sunwolves by plenty – (-16.5 at 19/10)(-20.5 at 5/2)and -30.5 at 5/1

Stormers will run Sharks close in conference – to beat the Bulls today –----Stormers -2.5 at 39/20

Jaguares to beat Lions 14/10 and -4.5 at 2/1
