So, the gods did think I was god?

Once upon a time, Gauteng had 3 race tracks, one with the reputation of the best drainage system in the land. Then, the gods decided that no, one will suffice!

What about our only track being waterlogged?

Not to worry, we will turn on our x-billion watts lights and high speed rotary fans and place a cover over the entire track (to keep the mischievious Modjaji 'Rain Queen' in Mpumalanga- in fact, we will either have a restraining order or restrict her under our old laws of the land to her homeland only! The nerve some of these uninvited, havoc-causing Africans have!).

What about the race meetings we will lose out on?

Not to worries! We will insert another 6 tracks on the existing one;

one sand, one turf, one all-weather,

one for the trainers (on our side!),

one for the Comrades (the more they run, the less they'll think of BEE, EE, transformation and all that new kak!),

one for the privileged in the Furious Room (the aisles between tables will be enough that after gorging themselves, they can trot to burn down all those extra calories!),

and ..... one for?

Eish, I lost count (like Malema , only did carping and tree cuttering)!

Now, you do your arithmetic; smaller fields, fewer jocks to pay and even less grooms (black, some of these new-found cheeky twats with their 'rights'!) to put up with (perpetually so drunk, not only do they forget what to do, they also forget their names; you call Jim and John pitches up!)

With such world-class (and first) service (you should be proud of your officials... world class LIKE JJ AND LUCKY AND ESTORIVA AND STRIKER!), of course, simple, gullible excuse; no money for stakes increases! You should thank us!

Of course, ('I told you!' .... buy them shares and not the bloody horses! In time, they will eat the animal; and, you will still have your mani!)

We shoulda given them our idea about all-weather pitches and grounds (soory, sold them the idea)!

To veryone (aggrived, upset, gigglers, etc)-

Today is an opportunity to spend some time with family, kids, grandkids, (even the maid!); take them out, shopping, etc... or, put up a braai, listen to some Chrsitmas 'oldies', dance away, drop your guard.... relax! There's plenty more to come!

All the best to friend and foe over Chrsitmas and for the New Year (including Malema, Larry & Obama!); enjoy, don't drink and drive (my ama-polisa will be out in force- don't pat any bribes... just mention you're my mate; better still, call me once they've busted you!)

I'd rather listen to cats fighting than to Christmas oldies, it's raining in Durban as well so the braai looks a forlorn prospect, and I'd rather stick dynamite in my ears and light the fuse than go shopping on a rainy public holiday at this time of year.

Other than that, Umlilo, it sounds like a plan....oh yeah, I forgot. I don't have kids, and ergo no grandkids either.

No chance of a braai they say it never rains but it pours, it was raining cats and dogs here and I just stood on a poodle (sorry toffie).

Who said I'm in greet cheer at this time of year? It is absolutely without exception my least favourite time of the year...!

Mrs S is waiting for rain to stop to drag me to the shops Its a no win stuation today, can only hope it keeps raining and I keep mopping.
