Not trying to be funny, but is there a difference (morally) between eating a cow and eating a whale? Senseless slaughtering is of course another matter.

we do not farm whales nor dolphins and that whale meat jibe, was an answer I got from my boss who was trying to expain his culture....even though we are in another century .....the hunting and killing of whales is still condoned by the Japanese as part of their culture....eating the meat is not every man's cup of tea...but they complain that they are being deprived of their right to challenge the ban on hunting and killing whales.....similar is the chinese culture who see nothing wrong with rhino poaching to get the prized horn....or slashing the fins off sharks to get the ingredients of a disgusting dish just to fullfill great, great granddads arthritis remedy....:S
