Interesting, though, that Trippi himself was a 1400/1800m horse and not a speed bullet like Var. Obviously, at least some of the Trippis we have seen so far have been out of fast mares (not least Sweet Sanette's half sister Franny), but I would not bet on them all just being flying sprinters. Of course, given a stout mare even Var can produce stayers (look at Princess Of Light), but I'll be interested to see what happens when a Trippi gets the chance to go at least 1400m.
I don't have long to wait. The first 2yo races over 1400m are at Turffontein next Tursday and from memory there is at least one Trippi running.

See the attached pic of Jackson at the beach before winning the derby. I have the pleasure of seeing him at the Crawford stables as my father is the assistant to Brett. He trully is a fine specimen... Although I think he can win the July , I am anxious to see how he performs at Greyville as I think the course could catch him out. He is a big striding son of Dynasty.
He is TOP CLASS...

I may sound like a broken record, but Igugu WILL not get beat in the July this year if she runs..
Her ability to run from the front suites the Greyville track, as well she can run from off em as well..
I can't believe how ppl can doubt her after what she did on J&B Met day.lol.
But then again, she is my favourite horse,so I could have blinkers on, so to say
