Vaal Sand Thursday 15th

Shrek do you think your stayer will get a run this year or is the programme such a cock up?

He is starting to do some fast work after hurting his ankle in his last start. There is a nice 2000 meter sand race coming up on 29th March he might be ready for it and it will be a run to get him back into racing again. Then hopefully we can find a nice 2600 plus race where they don't crawl, maybe the Gold Bowl on Champions Day, LOL. (tu)

Good luck finding a race over distance Shrek, if I was a owner i certainly would not buy a staying type....

Greg we owned her half sister Seat of Power who battled to get 1200 meters and his full brother Beacon Flare does well over the mile and just beyond. We didn't bye him specifically as a stayer it is just how he turned out to be. Hopefully we will get a decent race in April / May.

I know you were unfortunatly the people making the racing program don't seem to like stayers. (td)

Should have run her in the 1200 non-black type 2 weeks ago - but ran her in the 1200 on turf the week before (and she is not the type you can run every week) - then we had her in for today but she would have had to carry 62 and drew widest of all - still think we should have taken a chance as the race was split in the end - but the trainer knows best (or so I have been informed) - hopefully will find lots of races on the sand for her from May onwards - thanks for the interest (tu)
