Nope that was Uri Geller......made a big deal about bending spoons and keys and things with his "powerful" mind,,,,I once melted an ice cube by just staring at it for an hour or so but got zero recognition...sad

Yuri Uliantski controlled the club, drug and gang scene on the Cape Town Atlantic Seaboard for many years during the 90's and early 2000's. Yuri and his pals would rock up to your business and demand "protection" money. Never mind clubs, apparently normal business's had to pay him otherwise there would be trouble. Money laundering, extortion, illegal weapons, drugs, brothels, you name it Yuri was involved.

He met his end a few years ago but he really ruled the roost in his hey day, and the cops were duly paid off to let him operate.

As the saying goes you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

Anyway, I reckon racing aint much dirtier than other sports. Cricket, boxing and dare I say it football are probably just as dirty. There's simply a stigma with racing because betting has always been part and parcel with the sport.

Although a few non-nonsensical cape crawls and suspicious rides will always make one wonder how many other Yuri's are lurking in the background.

Saksy, it is still very evil out there.....it is sickening to see what these people are doing to the society..:X

The sad truth is..if someone misses a penalty or an open goal in a football match he gets called an idiot or whatever with no thought of foul play, but when the equivalent happens in a race all hell breaks loose...jocks like sportsman are human,unfortunately for the most part we allow our pocket to cloud our judgement ...

isnt this whole saga old news as in way way old ? why not worry about current affairs - making sure the stipes are awake here and now! not talking about ancient news

......what goes around....comes around....and then there are now reports that 2 suspects were taken in for questioning concerning links to the vehicle that was involved in the George shooting as it was further reported that they were  apprehended some 4-5 hours after the shooting on the N9 between Uniondale and Willowmore.....the men are thought to be of Russian origin but in all probability could be from another of the eastern Europe countries....
