Paul Hanagan - British Champion Jockey 2011.
Johnny Murtagh - Irish Champion Jockey 2011.
Why not tally all together as the Irish have a habit of raiding and looting the spoils.

The thread has gone slightly off topic, however I have also been thinking of Zim racing?
They have a country run by a mad man and the currency is one of the weakest on the planet, the majority can't by bread?
We (Tellytrack/phum) have trips planned to promote how great racing is and that you get paid in USD :S

Going to be an interesting two days. Marcus must have at least 10 favorites in the next 2 meetings so Lerena will have to try and hold on.

Doug Whyte has won the Hong Kong championship 12 times in a row, now that is a record.......

It is amazing how the bitching and moaning starts and the end of the Jockey Title race, everyone new the rules from the begining......

the bitching and moaning started ages ago when David went to Zim to win the appy title - The rules are wrong.
Nothing to do with Marcus or Lerena but everything to do with the NHRA.

Mr H, Zim has been part of SA racing for longer than i have been alive, either people take proper steps to move this region out of our jurisdiction or people should stop bitching and moaning.

Klawervlei's contracted jockey is sitting second and they put up the 250k prize money, if I was them then i would have as one of the rules that wins in ZIm do not count towards winning the prize money.

I think Gavin desreves to win, if he does, but who ever gets what they deserve?

You are so right TS,When Andrew won his title against all odds there were many who tried to rubbish the accomplishment making reference to the fact that he won a lot of his races in Kimberley..

Just because it was done that way in the past does not make it right - Namibia was once SWA which we regarded as a province of South Africa- Things change and so should this ridiculous rule.

Titch last time I checked Kim was part of SA - Zim is not and has never been - It's not the Jockey's involved its the rule that is wrong -
