I make it EXTREMELY tough today (that low stakes meeting on Tuesday certainly much easier imo) - contemplating a 5% PA ::o - I THINK the draw may turn out to be all over the place, so no real bias - but let's watch the first few races - this should make for more fair racing (unfortunately for the punters) - problem is most of the races seem very close contested.

I know the stable was disappointed with Reine d' Ivoire's last run, and was expecting her to go close on that day; that being said she has her problems and while she could pop up, she is not one to rely on imo.

Race 3 should prove interesting - Jade Bay has a huge reputation, but that first run makes me a bit nervous.

In race 5 I think Sir Swayze must rate some sort of chance; he finished 2nd at this track in December and since then has been racing in the soft or on the sand - could surprise on a firmer track against a mediocre (hell I like that word, pirates) lot - bar the first timer who need not to be that special to feature

In the last Pocket Filler gets another chance and is racing without the blinkers again - if the draw is not against him, I think he will be right there again - not sure that Glitter Star gets the 1600 - but preparing face for egg

Not a day to get stuck in

Greetings all and sundry. Have not had much time to study the form.... but I agree woth the Saint Pierre sentiments and I definitely took some of the 33/1 about Wo-Man United. Swingers with Performing Light. Neurose franked that form on Tuesday. My selections have been biaised towards the outside draws due to it being the outside track today.

Frodo, you may have noticed I like Reine today. If I remember correctly... and I confess I am far from 100% sure... but the jock kept it against the rail last time and though I was screaming at him from England to pull her out he chose to ignore me 8-) and instead went for an impossible gap up the inside which duly slammed in his face, if Reine gets in a good position then I give it an excellent chance... as with you though I have the eggs ready in the kitchen ;)

Have to be honest, I had to go and look up both Rampant and Mining Magnate - both returning from rests (Mining Magnate only 2 months though). Rampant) had some promising earlier runs, but has been reported to have made 'breathing noises' and the Botes stable has not had a winner for ages, so of the 2 I would prefer Mining Magnate - not sure about the KZN form, but 10 lengths behind Combattimento probably good enough to feature here?
