@ Alastair Brown - you take me back many years...... I remember my dad winning the very first race on that day, at the "new" course, the filly was called Dont Wink, ridden by Dennis Reed.....

The old Fairview had quite a bit of History too. I was also led to believe, that it was the very first course in SA which was officially licensed under Jockey Club Rules.
