i say the intersting thing will be like the america nfl team where you only allowed so much money each year on players. if this is case in england, you no see dominance of the league by the big spender teams only.

That would appear a rather silly statement IMO

LOL, no they've been wielding the handbags for a couple of years now!
Not aimed at anyone in particular, nope not even you CnC
but all these anti Man U comments, really they've been going on 20 plus years now... same ol, same ol and it really is water off a duck's back... the trophy's are locked away in the cabinet and its been a great 20 years to be a United fan. If someone had asked me 20 years ago if I'd be happy if United won as much as we have and played the terrific football we have in those 20 years but would win nothing for the 20 years that followed I 'd have grabbed it without a second's thought... I waited 25 years to see us win one!!! So, in the unlikely event that we don't win it again for 20 years, so be it, I will still love them just the same... United til I die and to hell with the rest
as per Mr GN.

Man United 1 Man City 6. The matches are won on the pitch and not in transfer fees.

Out-played and out-thought both games, no question. If United had drawn just one of the two derby games we'd be sitting pretty right now but we got what we deserved and it almost certainly looks like it will cost United. That said, I do think the comment is a bit sweeping CnC, for sure games are won on the pitch but it certainly helps if someone opens up the proceeds of a couple of oil wells to buy players for those pitches.

You say that if you had drawn one of the matches you would have been sitting pretty. Well if the ref in the Chelsea match had did his job you would have lost instead of drawing 3-3 (he gave you 2 spot kicks) and what about the ref who denied Fulham a stone wall penalty in the last minute, a match which you won 1-0. I can go on and on. The only injustice that was served on United this season was the penalty that Newcastle were awarded at OT.

I don't remember the whole season CnC but we have had plenty bad calls and plenty good calls the same as everyone. I don't recall the specific incidents against Chelski but there have definitely been times this season that I know we were played a decent card. Fulham, yup that was a definite penalty but you can't tell me that until you'd seen it 5 times you were sure of what happened, no way the ref could have given it with the view he had, that is luck, not poor officiating. That said, I equally remember Rio F having a penalty awarded against him at OT when he clearly got the ball. You don't hear me moaning about that or the officials who cost us the league twice with bad decisions against Chelsea (well, apart from the fact that by writing about them here I am probably kind of moaning!
) Part of the game. Annoying when it happens against you but you have to move on... and I am definitely not someone who thinks United get more of a rub of the green than anyone else, the simple fact is we are in the opposition penalty area a lot more than they are in ours and therefore it is natural we will get more pens. Basic common sense.
And the way we played in Europe this season, if we don't meet Juve in the first league stages we might not meet at all!! Well done on winning the league, I confess I've lost touch with Italian football over the past decade, can only be good for the game though if there is a re-emergence (tu)
