all this slating of the summer cup for being a glorified a div handicap is daft..yes it is a handicap..top weight whiteline fever makes this year's summer cup a MR109 handicap..so what..the july is also a handicap..this year PJ set the benchmark so the july was a MR114 handicap..not much difference

as for jackson he is the best horse over 2000m in sa..his rating proves it..ran a cracker behind VC last time it was obv way too short..if VC wasnt in the race then Jackson would have quickened past some of the best milers around to win the green point and everyone would be saying what a run! over 2000m if he is well he will be the horse to beat no doubt

Personally,i dont think this horse can beat Variety Club again, 2000m included!
perhaps if the connections changed the jock,J might find the winning box again.

The problem with Run for "It"..... is the "It" part always seems to be the horse in front of him.

but he does deserve a big race sooner or later

Unless they go a snails pace I cannot see Variety Club beating Jackson in the Met.

2000m on the new course is a very different story to a mile on the old course.

Anyway after VC wins the Queens Plate he may even start favourite for the Met. We all know Anton is capable of superman riding but on a true run 2000m I will be with the horse that gets 2000 easily.
