This is such a tragedy. I have heard various versions of "the story", as to the events which allegedly occurred. Ultimately, the story has quite a few discrepencies, depending on the teller of the story. I have to wonder, in terms of what the real truth is. There definitely ARE exaggerations.

So, two things influence me right now -

1) I was not there. All of the "tellers" of the story werent there either. Irrespective of whatever happened, I am filled with sadness at the loss of a young, rising Star, of Racing. I too, was young once. At times I have also lived life to its fullest. Many times I have made mistakes. I still do. I have been lucky to have survived these errors of judgement. The thing is that if Sean did do something wrong, he is gone, having paid the highest possible price that one could possibly pay. By saying this, I am merely highlighting the fact that Sean has passed away, and, no matter what we say, do or write this remains a very sad time and we cannot change that which has happened.

I cant help thinking of my own son, now, at this time - roughly the same age, Christopher also lives his life to the full, be it Scuba diving, kiteboarding, spearfishing, deep sea fishing on his jet ski, prepping to climb Kilamanjaro or driving at scary speeds, etc. I worry about my son, at this time. And this brings me to my second point.

2) I think of Steph - her pain, during this time, the tragedy which she has had to face during the past year. Peter, her husband, soulmate and life partner was larger than life. She had to bury him. Now, Steph has to bury her son, Sean. A parent shouldnt have to bury his or her child. This is the ultimate pain for any of us, the worst tragedy for any person on earth. And funeral arrangements are not even yet finalised.

So, I plead that if we have any respect for anything in life, let it just be forthcoming right now, towards this mother who has lost all that is dear to her, who has such a tough road ahead of her...... and who has done no harm.

what's a point of discussing something that only certain people know about and keep everyone else guessing??? either break the storey or close the thread.

i also think, that the story is now already better been told, because like this, poor sean is getting a monstre in everybodies mind, if noone dare to speak about it.

i cannot believe, that he made something worse than just a mistake, of which even exist different points of views.
of course, if one opens the story, all versions will appear... anyway i am guessing already who knows what he has done... cannot be worse.

Just let it go for now guys. No point debating all these rumours and stories.

We have a bunch of Sherlocks on this forum. They will eventually find out what happened and we can debate.

Just let the family have this time for now........

Becoz nobody knows the absolute facts at this stage and the respectful thing to do is to wait until they are known and not speculate, I for 1 have heard 3 different versions of what happened and choose not to believe any of them surely we owe the family at the very least the respect not to speculate on this very traumatic issue...please have the decency to let it be
