The wit of the Irish deserves a trophy

Germany v Holland match on Wednesday should be a corker of a match as the Dutch have to win which should make for an open attacking match. I read that as per usual the Irish are complaining about their loss to Croatia. Cant they ever just accept that the better team beat them. They always have excuses and are always moaning when they lose. Spain and Italy will see to it that they will be going home next week.

Having watched the first round of matches, i think the Germans will lift the trophy. The Spaniards are missing a quality striker viz. David Villa, Torres is lacking self confidence. It was a refreshing approach by a normally defence minded Italy the other evening. England only have one player of any quality, Rooney, can't see them advancing into the latter stages. Holland cannot afford to lose again in the first round. Whilst France are unbeaten in their last 22 matches, they are pretty average, looked good against an unsually defensive England.

Roy Hodgson promised to get Liverpool back in Europe,not sure this is what we expected though...

Ireland are priced at 16/1 to beat Spain on Thursday. Who knows it may be worth a few bob to take the bet as anything in football can happen. Who would have thought that after 91 minutes Man City would actually score twice and deny Man United the title.

I dutched Ireland (with Italy) to lift the cup....:
