MDK (much to my surprise) has IB as his best chance in the race and that she has improved a lot and says he has a "gut feel" that if Anton had a choice he would have ridden the filly??? I still cant be with her..

Titch, i didn't read or see the MDK article/interview which you refer to above, and respect your views on her chances of winning, however it's articles like this, the above and listed (posted by other ABC members), which gives me hope. Despite her draw of 19, MDK still rates her his best chance and that's good enough for me. BC and RG, hope you don't mind i "used" your posts.

I have heard from a very good source that Diane de Kock thinks IB has the beating of Jackson

i've also heard the mary slack has told de kock that she is not keen on her horses running in the july...and even if it had a 1/2 chanceit must be scratched...so i guess it has a full chance...'cos its still there

Must say when we watched IB winning at Turfontein we thought she might be good enough to win the July..I think the bookies have priced up correctly except for Vettel.

Oscar she beat nothing that day bud...The race was in April and there has been 11 runners from the race with 1 winner and that was in a MR68 appy race @ 66/1..she will have to have improved divisions to have any sort of a chance ..it is my genuine belief that she will have more in front of her than she beats...

I was happy Jackson drew wide, now I can get a better price on him.

I gave Ilha Bela little chance before the draw now I give her no chance. Would rather back Gorongoza even of both were the same price.

MDK in his interviewed says that he is happy with his Jockey arrangements with 3 former July winners in Shea, Delpech and Marcus and the hungriest Jock on the planet in Muzi :) :)
