He is responsible for calling races wrongly Flash surely you can see that - If you know racing and you think that I am the first person to think he call badly then you are wrong just read this thread and others on this site and you will see. Go into the totes on Fridays and Mondays and ask the punters if they think he is good.

If I were Phumelela i would get Bumpy to take over the presenting role in PE and Kim(He knows far more about the local people than young Cohen) - Let him work with Gavin- Let Cohen call all the races as he needs to be trained up asap as he is the future of race-calling - Give Bumpy the Feature race to call per day - Win Win

Really Flash H I cannot take you seriously after that comment - Funny how in other industries if you do a poor job you are fired or retrained but if you say anything about someone in Racing doing a poor job you are horrible and evil - Then so be it I am a horrible evil person that expects more than crap service. I have given a solution to this problem many times - Flash if Dumpy loses his job then it is not my fault but his own for not doing his Job - Amazing how I can be blamed for having average hearing and eyesight!!!

I am with you all the way Mr H... and to be honest I am completely bemused by Flash H's comments :S FH, my good man, it is not about wanting someone fired, it is about doing the job for which you are paid accurately and professionally. It is not about perfection either ffs! I don't give a flying whatever how long he has been doing it, the longer it is then the worse it is for me, he is farking awful. Posts like yours, I am very sorry man, but they epitomise everything I see as wrong with SA as a whole and racing in particular. These guys need to be professional, they need to do their jobs properly. I have said it before and I will say it a million more times if necessary... it simply can't be that difficult to learn the colours of that many runners in a week. Do it. That is the be all and end all. Listen to William Hill radio and then tell me it is so hard to do. For you and me, yes. For someone who is a commentator, no. The problem with Dumpy is he just can't identify which horse is which and that is purely a learning process and if you haven't devoted the time necessary to learn them then you have not done your job properly and you are taking the p1ss out of me, you and all other punters. Jeez... this really p1sses me off... it really is not blardy difficult... if I tell my 8 year old nephew to learn something in a week, he blardy well does it so what is so hard for people to understand that Dumpy seemingly simply does not devote the time he should to the job he is paid for. And if the reason is deeper than that then yes, he is in the wrong job and should be fired cos he can't do it. Sorry buit that is the reality of life. Say I somehow became a doctor, even though I don't know the first thing about how to give medicine, operate etc etc... you going to keep me in that job just because...????

I have now decided that imo, although both are very very poor, Dumpy is better than Sheldon Peters because at least Dumpy tries to let you know where your horse is running... even if he calls your horse wrong!
