Right now, the remainder of Racing that isn't Phumelela is held in trust for all the participants in the sport, or the business if you insist, of horse racing.

By participants we include racing's employees from gate keepers and grooms to managers and jockeys. We include punters, trainers, owners, gardeners and breeders. Includes valuable properties and a huge gambling machine, plus shares in TV broadcasts through to overseas interests, plus brand ownership, goodwill and events like the Met and July all included. It's even held in trust for Phumelela who are also participants.

It is unconscionable if this is sold in any way or form. It is impossible that nothing has been learnt from what has already happened. That's my opinion and I'm sure there must be others who agree. We can run it like a business, but if we turn it into a business then as soon as something more lucrative comes along, and it will, a business will sell it or will switch to it.

In time yes, dividends ..... Www.tabcorp.com.au have a look and i think you will find that dividends and the success of horse racing are not mutually exclusive! Anyway off for now thanks for chat.

So before Jooste ever raced here no one said a word abt 'the big guys"....Shirtliff ,Plattner ,Fieldspring are still here today?.Wonderful to have Jooste horses racing here ,good for Cape racing and he deserves every win he gets.Plenty of races for the small guys to win as well......the 1st yday won by a small guy having his first winner.
