he has a bright future in racing if he manages to keep his head from becoming swollen...i would boot the 2 cricketers and one or two presenters out who WILL NEVER MAKE THE GRADE AS THEY JUST DONT HAVE IT and give shaheen and mr cohen more senior roles ..they the only 2 who actually know what the public want as the rest try and shove their heads up other peoples backsides and earn brownie points

Agreed Pirates... Shaheen should still present but he should be made " Head of Presenters" to teach/train (what ever you want to call it) them...

Unfortunately with new bets being introduced every few months, it will become more difficult for these guys to present imo... just look how poor Cecil battles with all the sh!t he has to go through....

Yes Alistair is a top class presenter and IMHO in the top two Sa commentators currently. What a pity he cant be cloned !!

Alistar is a fair commentator perhaps but no where near a finished article IMHO. Got to get his timing right and what to say and when to say it right, Clyde Basel, Craig Peters and jan malherbe still in the top drawer . Ruvuan sounds pretty hopeful but deep down has no idea which side of a horses it farts from.

Commentating must be one of the most difficult jobs and u need a natural skill for it, even if I have a horse running in my own silks I find it difficult enough to follow never mind the other 17 runners with all the different colours changing positions every few seconds.

Well done to the lot of them ( but a couple could consider becoming owners?)

Mostly Dave.... you just watch the caps and sleeves ... No need to memorise the entire colour. When play a boxed trfiecta (four horses) I can follow them throughout the race... but four is the limit then my brain gets addled ....

Ive boxed the field in a trifecta and have managed to follow all my selections in a race.......it's an art
