I guess "P" need to have got this right (don't assume....cos they get a lot wrong through arrogance)
If there is any evidence that this is caused by 'P' s monopoly,they will just give ammo to those that believe that operators should not control racing in its entirety. The ultimate decision if the commision happens.

The only decision so far is the management of WC racing.............a commision would be looking at much wider issues.

Exactly I will say this again Jooste being in control of Phumelela, is the same as Sol Kerzner gambling in his own casino , If the above is true about Ian Jayes then it is very sad because all thats going to be left is a whole bunch of ass creepers .

Ian Jayes has been at the forefront of just about every fight concerning the operators in one form of another (Phumelela or TAB Transvaal) in Jozi since the 80's.

He has a reputation of being a trouble maker, or at least someone who constantly gets into a fight........albeit good or bad, right or wrong.

Pity it had to come to this but if it is true then I'm sure there is a lot more to all sides of this story, as there inevitably always is.

Ian Jayes was the ONLY voice critical of the R14,000,000- that was to be allocated for grooms housing but was added to the balance sheet I think by the number crunchers.

It is a sad day for racing when people who try to improve the lot of the voiceless for no personal gain , are ruled to be off-side and booted out.(td)

Ian Jayes's "trouble making" has been focused on the conditions that were agreed between govt and "P" ,precedent to corporatisation.
It is alleged that "P" have not complied in many ways and that is the war that Jayes has championed!
It was also the concern of the "concerned owners" group,a couple of whom swapped the cause for personal benefit..........they now wave the flag they wanted to burn,but benefit they have.
