Personally I'm disappointed - Varitey Club and Rumya would have added some spice - now it really comes down to 3 runners (King of Pain the unknown quantity) imo; strictly on MR Beach Beauty the right one - 2nd year in a row for a female ?

Frodo I fancy Beach Beauty strongly she has such a turn of foot and is well treated. Will be a massive runner. (tu)

Imo Slumdog had every chance in the QP and did not quicken - could not even get past Martial Eagle - however no one really knows how that false start affected the individual horses - and if you asked me before the QP I did think Slumdog would be a big runner in the Met - so not totally without a chance imo

Am I the only one who thinks that Cape Town Noir may be suspect over the 2000 in the Derby?

Agree. SDM is a big runner, QP easily explained by long time off and not perfect prep horse like Jackson has. I couldn't look at QP result and blame false start for any runner despite trainers moans and groans.

Variety Club stuffed up betting opportunities in a way, their indiciisiveness caused lull in betting until a few knew he would scratch and all of SDM, KOP, Pom, BB and Jackson all claimed multiple times around the 5/1 shot that would not run. Bookmakers all took stock knowing everything would be sold later, cheaper. Can't blame them, but pity Variety Club to play the rules down to the wire, and they could because Anton didnt have to look for a ride outside his colours. All is fair in love and war they say.

K.O.P has got to be crying out for the trip. His racing style and ped. suggest that the 2000m is right up his alley. No Grp.1 penalty. Receiving 7kg's must have a chance.

Master Plan still my e/w value bet
Not a positive stipes report on Jackson post race, did not seem to pull up very well...
What if they skip the Met with VC, if he runs then will be a very close finish as the weights are so close....

Master Plan - Beach Beauty - Pom - Slum/Jackson
