Hi Sal
For me it's not the same thing - if a trainer plays down chances of a runner or puts public off, but it is then heavily backed and arrives, it is not hard to conclude he has misled everyone, but if a trainer talks up his horse, it is backed and runs no race there can be many explanations which have nothing to do with deception. Horses are not machines, sometimes they show at home but don't raise a gallop at the track. Trainer has no control over this, trainers also lose money sometimes on punts.

ok, faxx, but who offered after such a trainer comments such good prices on betfair (12-1, 3-1 for place) and quite big amounts?

I must admit that Danielson is one of my favorite jocks, very underrated and always gives a horse a chance, specially in features when he gets a chance. I have no worries with him.....
and I think that time he skimmed the rail didn't he?
Fair comment Saldiani, I just happen to not agree with you

I feel Ray Danielson is a very competent rider! The horse seemed to take a while to get going.
