Well done to Mike on a great race, The Apache what a horse, but Mike must be gutted, Soumillion just too keen with the crop in the wrong hand still rode to win. What a great race well done again MIke and your team fantastic. Saw how disappointed Matthew as to earlier watching Soft Falling Rain. 2 fantastic horses and team flying our flag.

According to ESPN Soumilion said that The Apache got scared by the infield TV screen and shifted outward......

I may not be an expert at this type of thing but perhaps The Apache shifted outward because he had the stick in his left hand causing him to shift outward? When he put the stick away and straightened his mount, he went on to win by a head.....

Anyway the result is in the frame, we are second.................

Sadly that doesn't just take away his race win, it takes away his automatic entry into the Breeders Cup Turf. And with him clearly in winning form, it's such a shame as Apache could have given de Kock that BC win he's been after for years.

The Apache was placed 2nd.

Brilliant run but I have to question Soumilon. After the Apache started veering right soumilon gave him 5 smacks with his left hand, which Why he didn't switch the whip to his right hand?!
