lol.i can clearly see that u okes are blaming the jock for the horse losing.wat u fail to understand is that mdk doesnt excell in training sprinters and the horse clearly didnt see out the 1200m in the uk.he could get away with winning a 1200m in rsa but not in the uk at gr1 level.you okes must also realise that racing in dubai is not the same as racing in the uk.no steroids and other substances allowed in uk and also racing is much stronger in uk than in dubai.

I just think wisnae good enough, you say he didnt stay hes only beaten 2.5 lengths in the best sprint in Europe over 1200m.The winner will get a rating of about 124 leaving shea shea rated about 120 ish

he won three races over 1400 and 1450m so he stays 1200(won the Horseshoe - 1200m too) easy

Yes he did,but against mediocre south african opposition, not gr1 uk horses.Big difference in class and he can get away with it in good ol rsa,but not in the uk.

Winzip, ds Same mediocre SA raceshorse ran 0.05l 2nd in a top draw UK group 1 race at ascot(be it over 5 furlong)but the way you make the SA form 2be its like we run ponies over here and only in UK thet have group1 material..its ridiculous, considering how narrowly he was defeated at ascot

There is a big difference between not being able to stay and not being good enough to win over a distance. There are horses that can only win over 1000m while others can only win over 2700m This horse obviously is effective 1000-1450m . He finished 4th in a Gp 1 over 1200m - that does not mean he does not stay but it may mean he was not good enough to win.

I thought the King's Stand Stakes was run at Royal Ascot. Sorry, I didn't realise it was run in either Dubai or RSA.

Exactly....on a scale of 1/10 for that ride you would give the jock a ????????

i would give the jock a 10.he probably rode to instructions to give the horse a chance because it was suspect over the 1200m.wen he asked horse for effort it quickened very well, but ran out of puff.could be 2nd run after layoff, didnt see out trip or it was just a flat run.no fault of jockey, and to be honest i would pick soumillon over any jock riding in rsa any day of any week and it seems as if mdk must agree or why would he use him for a non sheik owned horse?
