Goeie bliksem ::o::o::o

The Golden Lions broke their Currie Cup duck in the most emphatic fashion, scoring a 62-23 win over the Blue Bulls at Lotus Versfeld on Saturday.

It is a result that will cause an uproar in Pretoria, because it has been many years since a Bulls team has been manhandled i
n such fashion at Loftus.

maybe your team needed a kicking to get them thinking about it again. No tears of sadness on this side of the ocean, only tears of joyX(

Well after 3 weeks I think it's between the Cheetahs and the Sharks - with the Lions hopefully a threat - this week's game against WP should show if they have what it takes(tu)

I agree there should never have been a penalty against Sadie; but over the 80 minutes, the Sharks was the better team imo - they went over the line once (or maybe twice) without getting the ball down, so a fair result in the end imo - also their defence was very good.

The Lions seem to have found some good combinations - Boshoff at fullback and Jantjies at flyhalf give them the option to a right- and left-footed kicker, and their forwards look good enough to at least secure their own ball

We were well beaten by a better. Like I said before Currie Cup is like the Vodacom Cup. Winning the Currie Cup is not what it used to be.

so its taken you the best part of 48 hours to come out with "we were well beaten by a better team"

now that must have taken some thinking:D and a whole lot of courage to admit that your fiercest neighbours took you to the cleaners.>:D<

yes Liverpool looking very good and their keeper looks like the bargain buy of the season. It would be interesting to see how they do on Sunday at home to United. If you guys can avoid defeat then the confidence will be there and when Suaraz gets back them it will be all go for you. Kolo Toure also a very good signing as well for you.
