I don't really want to argue this, just to say that if anyone set them up to fail in Super Rugby, it was Watson himself, and I don't understand what you mean by 'almost pulled it off' - they finished last did they not?

So let's just agree to disagree ;)

With Frodo and Greg on this. Merit in almost any form of endeavour in this country of ours,
seems to count for very little.

LOL...I'm stirring a bit too of course.
Chrism...merit means the team that wins the final gets the trophy.That happens every year without fail in rugby. And to Frodo...the Lions finished last for a number of years as did the Cheetahs and they continued to play in the Super rugby competition...me saying they almost pulled it off...means they almost won the play-off battle against the Lions to remain in Super rugby despite all the hurdles that was placed in front of them.One year is way too little to try and cement a place in Super rugby especially when the Lions and Cheetahs have been pretty pathetic for years and remained in the competition.
Disliking Cheeky does not mean that we should dismiss the region...

I fully agree with these sentiments,my question is;

Why keep on harping about the Watsons?
Larry Whine-Swine don't own Racing
Cheeky don,t own EP Rugby?

Its allways about the Watsons...
Donner man, daai perd is al holrug gery!!!:X

Oh please this is getting ridiculous - nobody is 'dismissing the region because we don't like Cheeky' - all we are saying is let merit decide which teams should be playing in whatever competition and where the hell does he come off to insist that the Kings MUST be in the Currie Cup IRRESPECTIVE OF WHERE THEY FINISH - anyway that's my view and I'm sticking to it and also my last word on the subject
