Why do you get upset when someone asks for an explanation on something that many punters are wondering about :S Imo nobody is critisizing your decision - but many would simply like to know if Striker had the choice or not ?

Can't help in the 4th - only to complicate matters I would also not ignore the chances of the other sand 'first-timers' Lyford Cay, Speed Dial and Matilda's Love :S

Race 1 : LOL!! Well to say it's a puzzle would be a drastic understatement, battle between the bad and the terrible and should cleary be a class K for K*K field. Anyways with no disrespect to anyone with runners... here are my views on this race.
Let's start with GOOGLE IT who frankly needs to GOOGLE how often horses win from wide draws, but than being said it clearly shines like a beacon in this field, can it do the 1450m?? will it do the 1450m?? I dunno but my cash will be best saved in my pocket at that crazy price.
BRADS SURGE : Last run over 1450m VAAL SAND carrying 57.00 kg's finished in a time of 95.84, can he win today?? Absolutely!! has a big chance but needs to find 2 seconds on some others and has to shoulder an extra kg, but Striker aboard anything is possible, IMO nice solid place bet.
VODKA ROCKS : Last run over 1450m VAAL SAND carrying 60.00 kg's finished in a time of 94.80, must be respected and most likely the winner here, Level weights today but a wide draw so much of his chances will depend on the first 300m.
BUSHVELDS PRIDE : ON FORM terrible but it must be remembered that this horse has been running on the TURF and clearly prefers the SAND. Last run over 1450m VAAL SAND carrying 60.00 kg's finished in a time of 93.08, almost 2 seconds quicker than anything else in this field and today he gets 2.50 kg's off his back with a decent enough draw, furthermore 8 lengths behind JUDGE THE STRIDE whom we all saw win recently isn't a bad performance considering his opposition today. Not saying he will win but @ 40/1 it could be a very good place return.

Looks a lovely cross (Daylami out of a Northfields mare) however must have had some issues as she only debuts at 4 - and also the Daylamis have not been great on the sand (and may I say disappointing overall :

A difficult card imo and I would not be surprised by a complete shock or two. Candlelight in the 2nd is my strongest win fancy on the day.
As I really didn't like much I went looking for complete idiots and though maybe clutching at very old, straggly straws am doing this patent (have done the place patent as well)...
R3 6 Virgin Cane
R4 7 Lyford Cay (would have been Dare To Grand but sadly price long gone, have done this one in a stable done with Arabian Princess in the 6th)
R7 11 Dying Thunder
Of the rest,
R1 My main boxed trifecta is Master Polly, Bushvelds Pride and Texas Tiger. Too much conflicting info on the main three in the market, they certainly don't seem even 10% of special and are all way too short in the market for me to chance. Not saying the odds are wrong, just that each has negatives so why take a chance at short odds, rather hope it all goes pear shaped, do outsiders and retire (
R2 Candlelight with Royal Quest giving some value to the exacta. Stroke One for the trifecta.
R3 Plenty in with a shout but of late I have done well by Passion Pleaser and I will stick with him
R4 I gave Pigeon Power little chance so disappointed he is out and brought the prices down. Extremely open. My main three for a value trifecta... Sucha Wonder x Summer Sari x Princess Faull. With the stable having a couple of winners lately Perfect Winter got my attention but a risky proposition imo at the prices with a draw of 13.
R5 Another one with quite a few who have a chance but preferences... Marching Band x Banjo Bay x King's Joy
R6 Sols Gold to be chased around by a couple of Princesses
R7 Was a toss up between Tacit Tiger and Royal Taska for me with the former just edging it. Throwing in Dying Thunder for a big trifecta
dividend
R8 I've gone with LG's Shepherd's Song but think Woza perhaps the safer place bet with Striker up where a Workrider couldn't get him home last time. See Global Talk right up there and Set the Scene thereabouts. Soft Sand the one that might surprise and probably a small e/w my bet with the others all relatively short in the market.
A play small day for me.
Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)
