3 year olds do come into the race with low weights. There are quality older horses this year, wish Variety Club was there too but looks like it is going to be a cracking race. (tu)

Beach Beauty is more likely to go for the Paddock Stakes than the Queens Plate on the same day- both are R1m races and the Paddock likely to be the easier task.
Red Ray was impressive yesterday, but will need to win the Guineas in good style before a tilt at the QP against Cape Town Noir and Jackson is on the cards. He looks very hard to oppose in the Cape RTR Stakes.

The Guineas is a whole new proposition and i think Dean Kannemeyer will have a BIG say in the Guineas. I think one of his Khaya Stables horses will either win or go very very close!

As for Red Ray, mentioning this one in the same breath as Variety Club.........just go and compare the stats. What has RR won? 1 group 3 race or something like that?? VC is a multiple Grade 1 winner and its no use comparing the 2 imo
