An ex Uys horse Common Law now with Dixon was claimed today from 66/1 into 20/1 if you can still get some 20/1 in the morning have a small each way interest,it's form is abismal but expected to make a lot of improvement, are hoping for soft conditions and it has just started raining and looks likely tocontinue...small interest at the price (5/1 a place ) may well start shorter than that a win

Pirates do you think that in such cases the meeting should be abandoned completley - I often think that as an owner i'd rather scratch my horse if it was prepared for a specific course - also if you have studied form for that course how do juswtify your selections based on different conditions - I know most punters would disagree as the would like to see the meeting go ahead but i'd rather have a fair shout on a fair track than enter a lottery!!

i think the correct decision has been made and you can scratch and your horse does not get a 2 week suspension due to change of course..the problem comes because of the program of races as there might not be a race for your horse for another month..the next mdn juvenille plate for fillies up the straight 1200 is on the 2nd of april so my horse in the 1st will have to run at the graveyard course instead of making her debut at her home course..such is life

My point exactly - I understand that meetings then run over each other but i suppose we cannot changeb the weather - shall be taking a % PA with no bankers hoping that the wheels fall off!!!

They backed it three of its four most recent Gauteng appearances, and it failed to get within seven lengths. I would tread carefully.
