Craig,
this is NOT a personal attack on you.
It is an attack on the system(Gold Circle).
You continually defend an entity that both refuses to engage or listen to it's customers, who give their opinions about how they are feeling willingly. We get nothing from this, just like you.We are also trying to help, simply asking for what should logically be provided anyway.
You,just like Louis G,are to be commended for having the balls to at least 'put yourself out there'.However, that does not make the system that you continue to stand up for right.
The problem in racing is that everyone wants to talk,to shout out their opinions.,but nobody in GC MANAGEMENT OR THEIR AFFILIATES(this does include you),are prepared to LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN.
It's one of the first things one tries to teach a child,to learn to listen. One learns by listening, but that doesn't seem to be important to the people that run racing.
Until the listening part starts to happen, racing will not prosper.
Hey,I'm just another moaning customer, why should you care.

Soodum, bud, personally I don't think Craig gives more than he takes. But surely the start point is that the conversation should not centre around Craig. We all have to pull in the same direction, take two steps back to go one forward so to speak and then keep going in that direction...

The biggest bugbear with the authorities is the open bet.The current problem with the decimenation of betting is all about this,as PGE is frustrated that it got 'beaten' in court and it doesn't know how else to turn things around.
I have made plenty suggestions as to how this could be attacked, but nobody listens;again!
My tote turnover today was 5464.
My open bet turnover today (this is only tote bets) is currently 37144.
There is no reason that open bet figure shouldn't be put on the tote, bar all the reasons that I have mentioned in previous threads.
What are PGE going to do to win back my business. They are so busy obsessing about the bookmakers that they have forgotten where the t/o eminates from.
It's time the customer got treated the way he deserves to be.

Ask the bosses up north.....but then you seem to know a lot about all the aspects of racing so I am sure you know the answer to your own question? All I do know is CT racing is in a good place at the moment compared to this time last year......and it gets better all the time......

Soodum, there is the crux of the matter. I have to read that I am blatantly wrong from you????????????????????. If I was wrong 1/100th of the times that statements you make are wrong then it would be a lot. That is why I cannot be bothered replying to you and this will be the last time. WE, in GC country are very happy that Cape racing is going well. As was said at the breakfast meeting we had awhile ago, the better you guys do the better for us overall. Financially and for racing as a whole. Keep going.(tu) JAP, GC does know what is going on on this site and do look into certain gripes. They cannot reply on the site but do know what is said. One of the biggest problems is that they will not deal with faceless people and pseudonyms, which I can understand.

Such a handy excuse that one - as if they know all the punters that bet on their product :S

Frodo, I am going to ask GC for an email address that posters can use to send comments, complaints etc under their own names and lets see if they reply and we can go from there. Is that ok?

craig is do hes best to defend the company that basic provide hem with the platform to earn hes living. is understandable he defend these guys for me some time so he get attack by some people as he is seen as part of the problem. craig jap say it much better than i ever can. the operator in my opinion do no look after the customer who provide the in come for the show. south africa raceing is the side show for international raceing and soccer that provide the reel money. so for example i am for many year the tote customer and i have the tellybet account. for sure when i am punting i must be in the top 10% of the amount i bet. when i stop my punting i no even get the phone call for the reason why i stop support. any other listed company if they loose the major client they will for sure know the reason and if they no now they will find out. is no rocket science? for me the monopoly that the operators have for many year make them fat and use less for local punter is take it oe leave it with them. is no only me who say these.
