A salient point to note when we go on abt dividends to shareholders:

The Thoroghbred Horseracing Trust owns 35% of Phum;
Five of the seven trustees to this trust come from the RA. (The other two trustees are from SASCOCC);
So the RA negotiates/receives the 25% of Phum takeout straight into the RA stakes pot.

I wish I had a business that could run using somebody elses stock and have minimum overheads
Thats what the bookmakers have Somebody else provides the premises ie RACETRACK
STAKES etc and owners the horses (because of the stakes}
It appears Hollywood realise this and are willing to increase their payments
The others want to free load Punters pay but have options

I agree with you but then we aren't saying business is easy we are simply asking for it to be fair......

This feud has obviously got to the point where local racing could well suffer(or benefit) and it is obvious that each side will present its case in the best possible light.

I am sure neither side will accept each others financial point of view and I would think that only independent arbitration, in respect of numbers, will be a basis for discussion and resolution!

Elmer

the same applies to sports betting especially soccer which was previously only provided by bookmakers until Phum and GC (and recently the Lotto people) decided to climb in.

You sound like a broken record dude.....one that plays a particularly boring tune!

For your information my family built the company which Phumelela have managed to ruin in a few short years......

So perhaps you want to find out what you are talking about before shooting off.
