Andy Gray the well respected pundit says that the ref over reacted..on viewing the replay one can read the players lips and all he said to the ref is "whats happening here?"..I think that the player (cant spell his name) ran over from 15 yards away and protested and thats why he got sent off. Watch out Lampard and Edboue in the next game, they do the same things.

I personally think theat the REF lost it - and over-reacted by sending him off.

My question is: isn't it time for REF's to ALSO get sent off?!?

i.e. He lost control - the 4th Official at half time should be able to 'releive' him of his duty! For the good of the game.

We're all human - can lose it / make mistakes / get out of the wrong side of bed - lol!

I really think too many Ref's are SPOILING important games - for whatever reason, and just as a manager will tug a bad performing player - why not the REF???

He ruined the game the ref thinks hes the center of attraction.
The ref should retire he lost control but the bigger picture is that for a game like this we need a stronger ref who is more respected by the players.
Well done to all MU FANS i must say i hope chelsea win the league.

Consistency, or lack thereof is the problem.
While not condoning Mascherano's petulance,if Ashley Cole didnt get sent off a few days earlier, nor should Mascherano.
The FA must spell out clear guide-lines as to what will or wont be acceptable.
In the meantime, Manure are 5 points clear (hurts to say it).

Refs should know better . Big games like this has alot of tension and needs the refs to cool matters down not make it worse. The sending off could have cost us alot more then just 3 points .

To be honest Liverpool played shit football but could have came back strong in the 2nd half.

Poor performace from the Pool, they somehow froze when it came to this crunch game, yet last week i was telling my mates thats one team i dont want to meet in the champions league, and i believed that Torres was devastating in front of goals,as for their keeper he was diabolical.Well Arsenal and Liverpool have gifted the Manures with the league.

Reina battles to deal with anything in the air. He was a bag of nerves. Wes Browns goal won the game without a doubt. Liverpool just lost the momentum after that.

But I do think if Liverpool and Man utd meet in Champions League final it won't be as easy as this one.

If one looks at how many referring decisions went against Arsenal and Liverpool over the season then one can see why MU will win the league..in Arsenals case.. Birmingham penalty in last minute..against Middlesburgh a goal disallowed which was a legitimate one ..yesterday both Chelsea goals sud not have stood..1st where 3 players were off and 2nd the defender was pushed.Thats 7 points lost and thats only over 3 games.See my point.
