It was my friends 40th birthday on friday and he hired a box at greyville for R3000.He got them to cater and bought R3000 worth of drinks from them.Then when it was called off one guy came to us and said we must be out by 8-30 and there is NO refunds.The last race was scheduled for 9-15.What a cheek will never hire a box again.Jockeys refused to race yet the authorities said ther was nothing wrong what a shambles horseracing in kzn has got to.Pathetic is all i can say.

mr hawkins made it very clear on winning ways a few weeks ago saying the greyville track has several different types of grass on it and needs to be dug up and relaid ...the window to do this is straight after gold cup day till the start of the next seasoncommencing with guineas day in may....it is clear that they have missed this oppurtunity a few times in fact a perfect time would have been when they had to make an underground tunnel which commenced august 2012....

Gold Circle should have already written to box holders at Greyville offering them a pro rata refund for all the missed meetings. Of course the box holders have heard nothing from Gold Circle.

That is a huge surprise - they probably want to blame the jocks for that as well - unreal
