Any news? Bookmakers betting is out but for the TURF. With all
the rain we have had in PE surely the Poly must surely be the obvious
choice to move the meeting to. Punters left in the dark again.

140425 Speed ratings for main contenders with previous Fairview form –

RACE 1
75…Billy Red…6/1
72…Lucky Jay…5/2
57…Al-Amadi…20/1
57…Rhumba Beat…50/1
55…Lipstick Lady…20/1
??…Grey Beret…7/2 (+/- 80 ?)
Better history: Lucky Jay (82), Lipstick Lady
Selections: Billy Red, Lucky Jay, Grey Beret, Lipstick Lady
Review: Billy Red only needs to repeat first couple of FV runs to feature here…looked an outstanding place prospect with Hammie’s Wildcat involved! Similar with Lucky Jay.

RACE 2
81…Forest Nymph…10/1
78…Pax Africana…10/1
76…Rosey Peg…9/2
76…Moucha Gasolina…16/1
75…Daggons Hall…33/1
74…True Gift…5/1
Selections: Rosey Peg, True Gift, Forest Nymph, Moucha Gasolina
Review: A good draw combined with fair form the most likely parameters for successful selections here in this open event.

RACE 3
82…Lord Trafalgar…9/10
77…Irish Hall…25/
76…Power Wind…7/2
76…Lady Bizhub…6/1
74…Leave Me Never…66/1
71…High Spirited…25/1
??…Power Wind…7/2
Better history: Expedition Leader (78)…16/1
Selections: Expedition Leader, Irish Hall, Lord Trafalgar, Leave Me Never
Review: Consistency makes Lord Trafalgar an obvious PA selection yet the odds are very restrictive here. The less obvious contenders include Expedition Leader and the ‘improving’ Irish Hall (albeit the stable need a change of luck).

RACE 4
111…Drill Sargeant…5/1
110…Forest Digger…33/10
108…Crown of Gold…4/1
107…Drumminor…7/1
107…Gianduja…8/1
101…Key Castle…14/1
Selections: as per ratings
Review: Tricky little contest. Forest Digger has the best poly figure-107.

RACE 5
109…Political Playboy…2/1
107…Way Clear…3/1
106…Blaze of Fire…7/1
104…Silent Partner…7/1
103…TwoGun Kid…14/1
103…Indian Hawk…8/1
Better history: Silent Partner (110)
Selections: as per ratings
Review: Another tricky affair, the best poly figures are with Way Clear and Silent P.

RACE 6
99…Swedish King…9/2
96…Cinderfella…3/1
95…King of Indians…9/2
95…Kirkby Ninja…3/1
95…Black Pegasus…9/2
87…Middlesex Street…66/1
??…Call the Hunt…8/1
Selections: as per ratings
Review: Closely rated and very open – as betting suggests

RACE 7
100…Shingwedzi…1/1
100…She’s a Pippa…18/10
..95…Ado Annie…16/1
..92…Bride’s Dowry…20/1
..90…Liwa…50/1
..89…Lady Seymour…33/1
..??…Skysign…4/1
Selections: as per ratings
Review: Looks a two horse race – like Liwa for quartets.

RACE 8
110…Ransom of Choice…7/1
106…Icefire…9/2
104…Tetelestai…4/1
103…Tennessee Strategy…16/1
103…Icemberg…14/1
101…Blackmalkin…10/1
Better history: Blackmalkin (110), London Perfect (108), Tetelestai (106), Swift Wonder (102)
Selections: Ransom of Choice, Blackmalkin, Tennessee Strategy, Icefire
Review: Another tricky affair where the lack of poly form and barrier draws cloud the issue…expecting the running styles of the top two rated enough to see them feature.

RACE 9
97…Travel up Front…12/1
97…I Got You Babe…10/1
95…Eye of the Panther…12/1
94…Blow Me a Kiss…6/1
94…Simply Uncanny…12/1
93…Titlee…10/1
Selections: Travel Up Front, Eye of the Panther, Blow Me a Kiss, Titlee
Review: Very competitive – not looking at anything with double digit draws.

Better history = superior form (ability) in recent past than currently being shown
Selections: Based on a mix of ratings, draw, trainer ‘form’ etc

Thanks as always THH, going to be somewhat ravaged by scratchings though I fear, depending on what goes might also affect the draw influence if some end up with an actual draw which is 4 or 5 lower than published.

Lots of scratchings...best to steer clear and have kitty for Greyville...

All the best to the clanners with runners and to those having a punt...I'm still sticking to the sports...
