Phumelela enjoys good volume on listing
Phumelela enjoyed good trade on its first day of listing on the JSE on 14 Jun 02. The shares held above the offer price of 50c all day, trading as high as 70c at the opening before falling back to a low of 55c. The share price recovered to 57c by late afternoon, having notched up a volume of about 2m shares. An equity trader said the shares attracted a good level of interest.

Phumelela CEO Brian Mehl said management was happy with the listing. The initial price was a little lower than expected, given the pre-listing excitement, which saw the public offer sixteen times subscribed, but Mehl said there might have been a number of small shareholders who wanted to offload their shares quickly at a profit.

I have installed an app that allows me to stream Netflix and Hulu at home. So to keep DSTV is becoming a little redundant.
