I would really like to know why would a trainer put blinkers on a horse that won by 7L......

He said he put the blinkers on as the 1000m was too short and he wanted to sharpen him up.

In the last few days how many 3 year old lightly raced, hot favorites have we seen coming short to older more experienced horses. Are they being rated too highly against in 3 year old races?
