Neither Dave but good guesses.

He owned a Derby winner and a Grand National winner.

If I recall correctly it was the bookie William Hill who laid Sir Ivor to lose satchels full as he was of the belief that the horse wouldn't get the mile and a half trip and stay up the hill.

True mark plus Lester also thought it was just a miler but with the maestro in the saddle he knew how to ride
