RULES ARE rules obey the rules get no fine, dont obey them ,get the fine. Would anybody drive their car at 120kms on the highway and take their hands of the steering wheel. A small salute and winning gesture is great but letting go of the reigns, IS A DISGRACE.

At the end of a race, horse is exhausted. Why is it too much trouble to ask the jock to stay balanced and look after the horse? Nobody said he can't salute.

Keep to the rules, and salute during the lead-in - also makes a nice photo!

Yip your guess is as good as mine, I think if you joined all my horses up (7 of them) they all could not run up to 120km hahaha. This industry needs a little consistency in their rulings.
