Royal Trip @7/1 e/w. Yet to be unplaced this course. Chuck Uncle Tommy to place @3/10 in multiples, hasn't missed in 15 attempts here.

in race 5 am strong on number 1 salute the sun 11/1 with holly i think the 16/10 first four is very attractive
The best horse doesn't always win the race.

Mantis, just for the record, was just joking, not really my type of card. But, anyway...
For the hard of reading...
R1 Big Shot
R2 Arizona Pie (R1 Queen's Gate)
R3 Across The Ice
R4 American Tiger (R1 Apsley)
R5 Captain Sam x Salute The Sun x Maji Moto
R6 Taptap Makhatini
R7 Royal Trip x Se Agabor x Ahlaam (R1 Peep Show)
R8 Usisi (R5 Mexican Glory)
For those with too much time on their hands...
R1 Big Shot has some fair form here and has shown he can be competitive from tough draws previously. He is the most likely for me and of those with c experience, I think Battle Of Arcole, Won't Wait and Marsden could give him most to do, though possible that In The Oven could show improvement from the 1 box. Of the newcomers to the sand, there are a few who on breeding could enjoy the surface, the most likely to be a threat imo is Woody Glow. Can't do a Woodruff horse at the moment so Dublin Rebel is a "watch" but, with the stable hitting top form recently, He Is Magic not to be overlooked.
R2 A very poor race, nothing appealing about 13/8 on a horse that only beat Attract The Crowd by 2.5l when much the better drawn of the two. See You hugely disappointing lto and can only be watched. No horse in the race even stirred an itch lol and a shock would not be a surprise lol. Arizona Pie my choice as she might, and it is a big might, prefer the drop in trip more than others. Only doing R1 on QG in case they were using the turf run as a fitness prep (lol).
R3 Across The Ice probably my strongest win fancy of the day but will only do in a few accies. half Moon Hotel the most likely to upset with Mootahadee not so far off. Anger, who knows
R4 Not sure the form of Sea Knight amounts to much but it is a weak field so he must have a very good chance. At the prices though I'll chance the sand debutant American Tiger to go well. A shock would again be no surprise and given the weakness of the field and the prices, I'll also chance R1s on Apsley and Striking Pose who have bits in the breeding to indicate they may perform on the sand.
R5 Looks absolutely wide open to me. Not going to discuss it as anything could happen... chancing Captain Sam will appreciate the surface and will go with Salute The Sun and Maji Moto for places.
R6 Torn between Taptap and Uncle T with the latter's stablemate The Royal Rhumba the one that could surprise. Went with Taptap in the end. Hopefully a good race in store.
R7 Royal Trip for me and the only one I had anything like an urge to back. Se Agabor the one that could upset my party if taking to the sand which I think she may well do. Ahlaam from a wide draw to come up for third. Peep Show has a decent draw and not disgraced lto on this c, a risky R1.
R8 Another very poor race imo. Usisi is the selection based only on the draw, not convinced she truly sees out the d so from wide draws one, or both, of Qawaasem or Lady Casey could catch her, just not convinced they will from the draws. Chance Blackberry Wine could take to the sand and with Striker up from a good draw might also be a threat. I will back Mexican Glory in a small e/w, think she is worth chancing given the field.draws and the fact that her last two c/d runs were not so bad given that they were from dreadful draws. Overall d record is not good though and was well beaten by LC not so long ago so can't be hugely confident.
My main patent, without bundles of confidence, is Big Shot, Captain Sam and Royal Trip.
Be(s)t of luck to all

R1 LUNDY'S STAR 1st time on sand i think.......... someone has put BIG bucks down on the tote was R 3.800 a win now R 4.70 & R 1.90 a place
50 / 1 on HOLLYWOOD............. what's going on, who in their right mind plonks a lot of dough on the tote on an outsider so early ? to scare us off ?
or perhaps a mistake bet ? wouldn't think so.

Not sure where all those good things are hiding from me - I think it is a card filled with potential pitfalls - thoughts:
R1: Really hoping that Big Shot can give the trainer some reward here after he lost the race in a somewhat dodgy objection last time - won't be easy from that draw though.Woody Glow an obvious danger if he takes to the sand, and I think the improver could be Battle of Arcole, who ran on nicely over 1450 last time
R2: A race where the fancied runners could easily run out of the first 4, Rouge at Noir has run a fair race here, but her subsequent efforts on the turf was very poor - still should be right there on her only sand run. See You had some excuses last week, but does not seem one to be relied upon - Arizona Pie showed fair pace last week so could find this trip to her liking and needs inclusion in everything imo
R3: Across the Ice the obvious one, but he has not won in a year - so his price seems very skinny to me. Sarasota is well in here and represents some value to me from a good draw
R4: Hard to look past Sea Knight - but he is another who looks very short in the betting, given the fact that he is has been suspended for bleeding. He does have the beating of Valiance Samaritan on form though. The only other horse in the betting could be the fly in the ointment though - American Tiger (by Tiger Ridge, so should love the surface) - if he has the pace for this 1000
R5: Toughest race on the card by far - I have included 11 runners in my Bi-Pot and I am still worried
R6: Everything points to Uncle Tommy, but imo Tap Tap could give him a real go over this 1600; best of the rest could be the 3yr olds Olympic Bolt and The Royal Rhumba, who both come in with light weights and both will be running on
R7: Royal Trip impressive last win, and in theory the 1600 should not be a problem - but Ahlaam is guaranteed to see out the trip and will make her run; a few others do not look chanceless if producing their best, including Tomorrow's Miss, Julie Doolittle and Bang Sue - while Fire Wheel could upset in her first try on the sand
R8: Usisi has the plum draw and is my first choice - many of the other obvious ones have double figure draws to contend with, while Blackberry Wine is an unknown quantity on the sand
I took a chance with an each-way double on Big Shot and Usisi - let's see
Enjoy

Bob lets say the owner put R 500 on the tote on 50 / 1 shot at the bookies.
his tote bet now showing R 3,80 or 4,80 or whatever......... don't think this horse will start at 50 / 1 on the tote........... utter madness rather take 25,000 / 500 on bookies & know what your odds are, not so ? OR 5,000 / 100 IF bookie wont take your bigger bet.
