well we sure got a quick enough reply to this thread... pity is most of us can't afford lunch for TWO at R 3,200 plus PAY for drinks, make your own way to Durban from Joburg either by car or plane, spend at least ONE night in Durban.

For Joburg R.A. MEMBERS, TOTAL OUTLAY in my books = R 5 - 6000.00 if you lucky.

Talk about inflation in S.A. plus high interest rates...... they got NOTHING on G.C. country.

P in hindsight, it was only a pleasure to pay R 250.00 ( in the FURIOUS ROOM with ABC members ) for the meal & the RACING EXPERIENCE on GOMMAGOMMA CUP day a few weeks back. It was such a pity the weather was crap, BUT THE RACING WAS EXCELLENT.

doesn't the nicholas rey foundation have a room available at the durban july. perhaps their deal would be better than that offered and it would be for a good cause.
