Englander, the 4th race, for me, is not the race to have an on the head punt. Personally, I think El Maestro is the right one.

You gents are spot on, I agree with both Englander and Bayern, I think for exotic purposes best you load up here, too many ??? for a straight bet

Over the Air wrote: This forum can sometimes open your eyes to things that you never considered before it got pointed out. I did not consider Dutch Harbour a runner in the 4th. I preferred the chances of his stable companion to be honest especially in light of the jockey arrangements. After spending a bit more time studying the horses form, I now make DH a MASSIVE runner and the reason for this is solid. If you study this horses form AROUND THE TURN he has run 2 races and placed second in both. The horses that he has placed to are proper horses, Rabada looks to be something special, and Star Chestnut came out after beating DH a shd and won possibly the strongest Juvenile Plate KZN had to offer at that time. Looking at the Rabada run, DH beat El Maestro by 3,5 lengths at level weights. Today DH receives 3kg from EM - explain 5/2 vs 8/1??? This horse has to be a runner today and I will include him in everything.

Interestingly the horse has run down the straight 3 times and has faired badly each time.

Thanks to the clanners who spotted this :) :) :)

Big thanks...

That's wat this forum SHOULD be about... getting positives and negatives...

Not 2 check who's the best tipster around.

Now I don't even care if the horse wins or loses... I have weighed the pros n cons... and at 8-1 it Def worth my money !

Ok so DH has a chance but look at two horses against the juvenile form that OTA has highlighted
Royal Armour
Bank It
These two ran to Baahir so follow their history and see where you spot the common race or day

Gee, looking through some posts it seems some clanners didn't get much sleep, lol... I thought all races carded today should be Juvenile races for Youth Day

On a serious note though... I thought Wargames was terribly unlucky last time, must go in. The two Dawns my double for today that's Break of Dawn x Dusk to Dawn, pity about Excalivar's draw otherwise a big runner!

That's my two cents on what looks a very competitive card, enjoy!

In the 4th i make Escape Route the horse to beat. Tarry obviously thinks highly of this 1 to have his debut run in a feature. (He did the same with Old Em if im not mistaken) on a line through hypothermic it would seem that El maestro should be in front of Escape Route judging by the LBH....but...hypothermic was drawn 4/14 on the standside track when running on to ES whereas he was drawn 13/14 on the inside track when running on to EM. Assuming a better draw and longer run in, he would have got closer to EM.. Alot of analysis for 1 race lol but i hope it makes sense

Bob Brogan wrote: A wee bit worried about the trip for Amber Orchid, but fair enough price if still in the same form she was a month or two ago...

Bob despite coming back in distance, Amber Orchid does have a lot going for her. See they have put the blinkers back on, and she does appear to race handy, so I don't believe she is going to be outdone for early pace. She has run to much stronger than she takes on today, and she has the entire field held at the weights.

Something odd, Princess Tantan, it looks like the wfa allowance (1.5kgs) has been added rather than deducted. Thoughts on this anyone, thanks.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
